We carry a wide selection of these fabrics. However, their price reflects their scarcity: generally $25-$275 per yard.

Most yardage is new and unused, but we do stock some used yardage, mostly salvaged from tied comforters,and small scraps for restoration. We will always let you know if the fabric is used or has stains and flaws which could affect your work.

Ombre Print Circa 1880 with coral/leaf motif. Has an oriental flavor that was so popular then. Background is a dyed tan with an overprint of brown, pink and gold and a resist of cream moon shapes. The fabric is 24" wide, typical of the era.

The fabric is strong and could be used for restoration. It was originally part of a comforter back and there are a few tie holes apparent that you would have to work around. Total yardage available 2 yards and 11". Half yard minimum cut.

Cottons from this period range from $12-$45 per yard. Due to their rarity, older fabrics are generally higher-priced. Most 1930s fabrics run $28-$32 per yard, 1940s fabrics at $16-$20 per yard, and 1950s fabrics at $12-$14 per yard. Novelty prints run $18-$50 per yard, depending on age.

Fancy fabrics (silks, satins, and brocades) are $16-$25 per yard. Rayon velvet is $25 per yard, and silk velvet, when available, is $45 per yard.
